Iron oxide (Fe2O3) is one of the most closely watched impurities in glass-grade silica sand. Even small increases in PPM can shift colour, raise scrap rates, and weaken optical performance in float and solar glass.
Why buyers specify PPM limits

How we control iron
Incoming silica is washed, scrubbed, and processed through staged magnetic roller separators before screening to grade. Batch chemistry is verified before shipment so buyers receive sand that matches the agreed specification.
